ABOUT US
Beef on the Beach, the popular Howick butchery, had its origins in the mid 1990s, when it was originally owned by a New Zealander, Kent Bishop. Even in those early years it served the ex-South African and ex-Rhodesian (Zimbabwe) communities with biltong and boerewors.
Martin Ralph, originally from Durban, took over the butchery in 1997 and is steadily increasing the range of traditional meat products and specialist South African grocery supplies. Beef on the Beach supplies biltong and boerewors nationally and provides personal service for those requiring special meat cuts - "if we don't have it in stock we'll get it for you". This also applies to the many other items stocked, whether spices, herbs, Lennon's medical essence or a three-footed "potjie"
